Childen's' Village Seeks Grandparents

The Children’s Village of Sonoma County is seeking three 'surrogate' grandparents to join their community and volunteer part time with foster children and their siblings, ages 6-15. The Santa Rosa based non-profit cares for children in a community setting. This innovative model includes green construction triplex residences for village elders who receive reasonable rent in exchange for volunteering with the children. The second set of triplexes are under construction with a partnership between the Village and Habitat for Humanity of Sonoma County. Currently, three "grandparents" live at the village.
