“It Must Be Magic”

 RAISES FUNDS FOR THE VILLAGE

April 20, 2008

Healdsburg, California

Our 8th Annual fundraising event, “It Must be Magic” netted nearly $50,000 for operational support of The Children’s Village of Sonoma County.

Los Angeles-based entertainer, Patrick Bell  (www.operakadabra.com) entertained the crowd of 200+ performing operatic selections and also magic tricks.  He is the world’s “only opera singing magician,” says Bell.  His finale, which received a standing ovation, was a treat --- getting out of straightjacket while singing an aria!

We would like to thank all of you who supported our event and bid on the silent and live auction items, especially those donors who supported our medical and dental fund.

A very hearty thank you to the special events volunteer committee members, our board members, and our master of ceremonies and auctioneer, Kenn Cunningham. Thank you to all who donated  auction items, and goods and services such as our centerpieces (Jennifer Cobb), wine (Jackson Family of Wines), program design (Minuteman Press Rohnert Park) and advertising (Frank Howard Allen Realtors). A big thank you to all the members of the United States Coast Guard who generously donated their time and help to this wonderful event..

The Village is grateful to all our sponsors including the Bank of America, Exchange Bank, and Kendall- Jackson Wine Estates. And our other sponsors: Sonoma Bank, the Stark Family, Willow Creek Financial, and W. Dickinson Construction.
