The Children's Village of Sonoma County

When fully built, the Village will consist of eight family-style homes for the children, six apartments for seniors who will act as surrogate grandparents to the children and a community center where services will be provided. There will be play areas and a basketball court. A 2.2 acre piece of property at 1321 Lia Lane (in honor of founder, Lia Rowley). The location is in the 1300 block of Kawana Terrace in Santa Rosa.

The first phase of four homes and six senior units are completed. Each house will be the home of “village parents” and six children. Most of the children will be part of sibling groups. The G.K. Hardt Village Community Center is completed and used everyday.
